Participants will learn about the basics of up to 11 international languages (Arabic, Chinese, German, Irish, Italian, Japanese, Polish, Portuguese, Russian, Spanish, and Yiddish). You will also explore cultural traditions and forms of cultural expression from around the world. The course sessions will be in an interactive format, led by professors and students of the Department of Modern Languages and Literatures. Together we will learn a bit of each language and explore topics and issues beyond cultural stereotypes.
