Description du cours
In this course, we’ll learn about different anti-racist movements in Canada and the United States throughout history from the Civil Rights movement to Black Lives Matter. We’ll also explore the lives of key American Civil Rights leaders and icons like Martin Luther King Jr., Malcolm X, Rosa Parks, and Barack Obama, and Canadian activists like Jean Augustine and Dudley Laws. We will get to watch some documentary footage of anti-racist movements throughout history. Throughout the course, students will work in teams to create posters that summarize the history of anti-racism.
