Description du cours

Do you want to be a curator? In many ways, you already are! We are all curators of something—usually the things we love. Curating is the art of arranging things in interesting, beautiful, or provocative ways. You may think that curators only work in museums, but curating is a valuable skill that shapes the world around you. The pastries on display in a bakery, the well-dressed mannequins in store fronts, the pictures and art hung on your living room wall, your collection of treasured belongings displayed on a shelf, your Instagram feed, and the playlists you create of favorite songs are all examples of curating. In this super fun course, you will learn more about the art of curating through hands-on workshops and visits to exhibitions and galleries. In this course you will learn how to think like a curator and the way you see the world will never be the same! You will have a chance to put your skills to use by co-curating a multi-media exhibit with your peers on a topic of your choosing. The week will conclude with an opening reception to showcase and celebrate your exhibition with friends and family.
