Action Now: Social Change Through the Arts.

Within this course, students will experience how artists here and abroad are using their skills to engage socially and politically to effect meaningful change in their communities. Through in-class discussion, case study exploration and guest speakers, students will unpack different ways of using the arts to highlight social issues. Participants will receive hands-on learning of how artists are taking part in meaningful dialogue around social change through their artistic practice . Students will reflect on the content through journal entries, in-class discussion and short presentations.
