Mental Health: What is it, Really?

Institution: University of Ottawa ()
Category: Faculty of Social Sciences
Language: English

Course Description

Come join me for the week to learn more about mental health and what it really means! We will discuss factors that impact mental health (e.g., biological, environmental) and identify ways to promote mental wellness (e.g., exercise, sleep). We will engage in breakout group discussions, in-class debates, and take an outdoor trip to the art gallery to better understand the topic of mental health together. When we change “I” to “We”, mental illness becomes mental wellness and, in this class, we will discover that together. Activities will produce actions items for you to take home to promote your own well-being.
