Course Description

Have you ever wondered how your ears work or how we test your hearing ability? In this fun and interactive mini-course, you’ll explore the fascinating world of hearing and discover how the auditory system helps us perceive sounds. Using multiple tools you will learn about different parts of the auditory system including the outer, middle, and inner ear. Through hands-on activities, you’ll learn how we measure hearing, explore how the ear reacts to tiny vibrations, and understand why our hearing is so important in daily life. Join us to uncover the secrets of your ears and the science of sound!

Please note : This mini-course will not take place on the main campus of the University of Ottawa, but at the Lees campus.

Biography

Zohreh and I are both PhD candidates in Rehabilitation Sciences. We hold master’s degrees in audiology and have experience working in audiology clinics as clinicians and/or supervisors prior to starting our PhD programs.
