Course Description
This course covers key aspects of healthy living, including nutrition, anatomy and physiology, physical activity, and wellbeing. Students will learn how to properly fuel their bodies with healthy eating strategies and practical meal preparation. Physical education will allow students to explore the importance of physical activity and how activity is beneficial for physical and mental health. These topics will be tied back to anatomy and physiology principles, introducing students to the body's systems and how they work together. By the end of this course, students will gain essential knowledge and skills for injury prevention, lifelong fitness, and maintaining overall well-being.
Biography
I am a Registered Kinesiologist, and just completed my Masters in Education here at the University of Ottawa and graduated from Laurentian University in 2023 with a B.Sc in Kinesiology. I have a long history of working with many different sports and rehabilitation at different levels both as an athlete and as a coach or practitioner. I am currently a part of the GeeGees Rowing Team!
