Course Description

We invite you to join us in a deep dive into identity: Learn how to think creatively about yourself and the world around you. What makes me me? What is creativity? Come and explore themes of inclusion and identity through a variety of mediums and creative activities (e.g. visual arts, drama, dance, storytelling, digital media, etc.). Culminating in a RE-imagined selfie on the last day. Zero artistic skills required!

Jackie McGrath, 15 years of teaching experience in Toronto and Ottawa, M.Ed. student. I use creativity in my teaching practice even though I’m not artistic! I love dogs and hot dogs! I aim to co-facilitate with Emily Wolstenholme. Our goal is to help students learn about themselves and how creativity can be cathartic and a tool for critical reflection.

Biography

Emily Wolstenholme, 7 years of teaching experience in the UK and Ontario, M.Ed. student. I’m passionate about inclusion and how language and imagination shape the way we see the world, using creativity to explore different ways of knowing. I love plants and walking along the canal! I aim to co-facilitate with Jackie McGrath. Our goal is to help students learn about themselves and how creativity can be cathartic and a tool for critical reflection.
