Biography

I am Estelle Ah-Teck, an educator currently pursuing a Bachelor of Education at the University of Ottawa, with teachables being History and French as a Second Language. I hold a Bachelor of Arts from McGill University in History, with two minors in French Literature and Religious Studies. Fluent in English, French, and Mauritian Creole, I have diverse experience in teaching, tutoring, and coordinating educational summer camps in French and English. I am currently a student-teacher at Merivale High School assisting and teaching classes in the History and Social Studies department. I have also worked in additional bilingual roles, including as a receptionist for Elections Canada, and gained valuable experience supporting refugees during my internship at "Le Pont", a Montreal-based temporary housing and service centre for refugee claimants.
