Interested in changing the world but you’re not sure where to start? In this psychology-based course, we will learn about social justice and how we can create positive social change. We will explore the complex ways that people interact with the communities around them. We will look at societal issues like classism, sexism, racism, homophobia, and other forms of discrimination. We will investigate topics like poverty, mental illness, drug and alcohol use, and homelessness. We will consider the root of the problem and the impact on people. The course will feature dynamic learning activities like discussions, debates, and case studies.
