Course Description

An introductory course to statistics and its use in social and psychological sciences. I will start by describing the logic behind statistics. I will introduce basic statistical definitions (mean, median, mode, variance etc) and how to do basic calculations to get them. I will introduce the concept of normality. I will then move on to introduce basic probability and error. I will end up by showing how this is useful in assessing the behavior of people in a society.
