Course Description
This mini enrichment course will cover a general introduction to the world of criminology at the University of Ottawa! Students will learn some historical approaches to 'crime' and punishment (e.g., Salem Witch Trials) to contextualize our current approaches to 'crime'. Over the course of the mini-course we will transition to explore more modern issues in criminology (e.g., prison abolition and defund the police movements).
